Sapphira
About the Job
SAPPHIRA – LEAD. Tall. Exhibited by the sideshow under the imposed persona of “the Savage,” Sapphira has learned to survive by keeping much of herself guarded. Beneath that armor, she is imaginative, funny, deeply loving, and fiercely loyal to Xiao, her closest friend. The role requires strong emotional range, vulnerability, and comfort with carefully choreographed physical violence. Material includes historical racism/racialized language, dehumanizing treatment, blood, physical restraint, staged violence, prop weapons, and implied nudity only; no actual nudity will be filmed.
